Robert S. Conrad, DDS, PA

Dr. Robert (Bob) Conrad has been involved in dentistry since 1987 when he received hid Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Dental Branch Houston in 1987. He then completed his general practice residency at Olen E. Teague Veterans Affairs Hospital Temple, Texas where he continued his training in hospital based dentistry and advanced surgical and dental restorative procedures.  With a love of advanced Prosthodontic procedures (crown and bridge dentistry and dental implant procedures) he then continued his training at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Houston, Texas where he received his Speciality training in prosthodontics in 1990.  Since then he has maintained a full time private practice that has been widely recognized as an example of technology and innovation as he was one of the first prosthodontists in the United States, to utilize CAD/CAM technologies in private practice and was the first prosthodontist to become an International Society of Computerized Dentistry Trainer here in the US.

Peer Recognition

Dr. Robert S. Conrad (Bob) has been recognized by his peers as one of Texas’ Most outstanding dentists.  In 2006 his fellow dentists elected him to be featured in Texas Monthly Magazine as one of Texas’ most outstanding dentists.  During his dental school training he was recognized by his professors as being one of the class of 1987’s outstanding clinicians in operative dentistry and in dental materials where his passion for excellence continues today. Since then he has been recognized for his efforts in dental education by being awarded numerous awards during his post doctoral studies and on into his private practice years.

International Lecturer

Today, he continues to give back to his profession by working closely with Prosthodontic residents at the University of Texas directing their master’s thesis research and aiding them in completing their master’s degrees.  He has published numerous articles and lectures both nationally and internationally on many areas in advanced dental restorative procedures and techniques.  For the past 15 years Dr. Conrad has been teaching in many different areas of dentistry, most notable in the area of CAD/CAM computer technologies as related to restorative dental care.  During that time he has taught literally thousands of dental professionals in the art and science of computer based technologies involved with providing state of the art dental care.  He has been honored by being invited to present to the International Society of Computerized Dentistry’s educational meeting in Berlin in 2006 at the 20th Celebration of CEREC CAD/Cam technologies.
